My name is Elizabeth (she/they) and I have loved books and writing for as long as I can remember. I have lived countless lives and gone on innumerable adventures all from the comfort of my home. I live in Michigan with my family and spend as much time as I possibly can immersing myself in different worlds and characters.I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2024 with my Bachelor of Arts, concentrating in Creative Writing. I also have an Associate of Arts and an Associate of General Studies. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Creative Writing and English at SNHU.


Fun Facts

  • My favorite musical is Hadestown. I saw it live for the first time on February 2nd, 2025.

  • My favorite romance book series is Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison.

  • My favorite fantasy books include The Poppy War trilogy by R.F. Kuang, The Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson, and The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin.

Services I Offer

I currently offer developmental, copy/line editing, and proofreading. Read below for more details.

Developmental Editing

- Fiction of any genre & short nonfiction
- Focuses on the content rather than grammatical details. I will look at things like overall structure of the story, characters and their development, plot, setting, etc.
This service will utilize in-line comments on your document as well as an editorial letter summarizing the strengths and areas to improve in your piece.

Copy & Line Editing

- Fiction of any genre & short nonfiction
- An in depth look at grammar, spelling, & punctuation. In addition, I will look at sentence structure, word choice, and overall flow at the sentence level.
- This might also include fact checking, plot hole identification, and ensuring detail consistency.
This service will utilize in-line comments on your document.

Proofreading

- Fiction of any genre, nonfiction, and poetry.
- Checks for grammatical errors and overall clarity of the writing.
This service will utilize tracked changes and suggestions within your document.

Payment & Fees

Payment

A 15% deposit is required before I begin editing. You will recieve an invoice via Square along with our editing agreement. When the edits are complete and turned in, you will recieve a second invoice for the remaining payment due within 10 days of edit completion.

Payment Plans

I offer payment plans for everyone. They are determined on an individual basis with a maximum of 3 months. Payment plans require a 25% deposit before editing begins.

Cancellation Fees

If for some reason you no longer need my services, that is totally okay! If I haven't started working on it, there are no fees (besides the non-refundable deposit). If I have begun work, you will be charged 50% of the standard rate, up to the point I stopped editing.

What if I don't know what type of editing service I need?

Fill out a consultation form, shoot me an email, or even DM me on Instagram and we can chat! If you can tell me a bit about your project and goals, I can help you determine what might be the best fit for editing in your current stage. Consultation is free and there is no commitment necessary, so please don't hesitate!


Do you offer formatting/formatting checks?

I currently do not offer formatting services, but would be happy to refer you to some formatters that I am friendly with!


Your rates are too pricey for me. Can we work something out?

I want my services to be accessible to all writers when possible. If you are interested in my services but prices are steep, let's chat. I offer custom payment plans. Submit a consultation request and let's see what solution we can come up with.


What are your qualifications?

I have several years of education and 3 more currently underfoot! I graduated with a 3.97 GPA and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society .I am a current and active member of my local library's Writer's Club. In addition, I have freelanced in copywriting and editing since 2020, gaining invaluable skills in blog, SEO, fiction, and short/longform nonfiction.I am currently obtaining my MA in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, where I plan to focus on poetry and fiction.
